How to convert a PowerPoint presentation to PDF online

Convert .pptx slides to a downloadable PDF using File Utils PPTX to PDF tool. Runs entirely in your browser — no upload, no sign-up, no software to install.

Turn slides into a PDF

Sharing a presentation but not sure your audience has PowerPoint? The PPTX to PDF converter turns every slide into a page in a single PDF file — directly in your browser.

How to convert

  1. Open PPTX to PDF.
  2. Drag your .pptx file onto the drop zone, or click to browse.
  3. Click Convert to PDF.
  4. Preview the output and hit Download.

Each slide becomes one landscape page in the resulting PDF.

What gets converted

ElementSupported
Slide text (titles, body)Yes
Embedded images (PNG, JPG)Yes
Basic shapes with textPartial
Slide orderYes
Speaker notesNo

The tool extracts text and images from each slide's XML structure and renders them into a clean page. Complex visual elements like charts or SmartArt may appear as text-only.

Common use cases

  • Email-friendly sharing: PDFs open on every device without needing PowerPoint.
  • Print-ready handouts: Convert slides to PDF before printing so layout stays consistent.
  • Archival: Freeze a presentation in a universal format that won't change with software updates.
  • Compliance: Some workflows require PDF submissions rather than editable slide decks.

Privacy

Your .pptx file is processed entirely in your browser. The file content is parsed locally using JavaScript — nothing is sent to a server. Close the tab and the data is gone.

Tips for best results

  • Use .pptx: Older .ppt files are not supported. Re-save them as .pptx in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or LibreOffice Impress first.
  • Keep text-heavy slides: Slides that rely primarily on text and images convert most faithfully.
  • Check image quality: Embedded images are included at their stored resolution. Very large images may increase the PDF file size.

FAQ

Can I convert multiple presentations at once?

The tool processes one file at a time. Convert each presentation separately, then use PDF Merger to combine them.

Does it preserve speaker notes?

No. The output PDF contains only the visible slide content. Export notes separately from PowerPoint if needed.

The output looks different from my slides. Why?

Complex layouts with overlapping shapes, charts, gradients, or custom fonts may not render identically. The converter prioritises text and image content over pixel-perfect visual fidelity.

Can I password-protect the output?

Yes. After converting, run the PDF through Protect PDF to add an open password.
