User guide
This guide walks through each workflow: what to upload, what options mean, and how to download results. Open any tool directly from /convert or the cards on the home page.
Getting started
- Go to All tools (sidebar layout on desktop, or use the marketing header on this site).
- Choose image conversion or a PDF utility.
- Drag files onto the drop zone or click to browse. Wait for processing; then preview (when available) and download.
- Close the tab on shared computers after handling sensitive PDFs. Passwords exist only in memory while the tab runs.
Image conversion (WebP, ICO, JPG, PNG)
Supported inputs commonly include JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and SVG (SVG is rasterized in the browser). Pick a target format from the list below; each page has its own queue, progress, and download buttons.
- Image to WebP: Optimized for the web, smaller file sizes
- Image to ICO: Multi-size favicons & app icons
- Image to JPG: Universal compatibility, smaller photos
- Image to PNG: Lossless with full transparency support
Tip: For photos going to JPG, white is used where transparency existed. For archival graphics, PNG or WebP may preserve alpha.
Image compression
Image Compressor
Reduce image file size by adjusting quality
Set a quality percentage, lower values shrink files more aggressively, higher values preserve detail. PNG and SVG are converted to WebP since those formats are lossless and do not support a quality parameter.
PDF tools
Image to PDF
Combine multiple images into a single PDF document
PDF to Image
Extract every PDF page as a high-res PNG image
PDF Merger
Merge multiple PDFs with drag-and-drop reordering
Add multiple PDFs, drag rows to set order, then merge. Ensures a single linear document.
PDF Page Editor
See every page and drag to reorder before exporting
Wait for thumbnails, drag cards to reorder, then export. Preserves vector content (unlike some raster-based flows).
PDF Compressor
Shrink PDF file size by compressing embedded images
Adjust JPEG quality. Higher keeps detail; lower shrinks file size. Output is a new PDF with re-encoded pages.
Split PDF
Split one PDF into separate files, one per page
Produces one PDF per page (up to the stated page cap). Download individually or use “download all”.
Unlock PDF
Open a password-protected PDF and download an unrestricted copy
Enter the open password if prompted. Output is rebuilt for compatibility. Verify fidelity for critical documents.
Protect PDF
Add a password so readers must enter it to open the file
Choose open password and optional owner password. Preview is disabled for encrypted output by design.
Word to PDF
Convert Word documents (.docx) to PDF in your browser
Drop a .docx file, click convert, and download the resulting PDF. Text, headings, lists, and basic formatting are preserved. Complex layouts with columns or embedded charts may differ.
PPTX to PDF
Convert PowerPoint presentations (.pptx) to PDF locally
Drop a .pptx file to convert all slides into a landscape PDF. Text and embedded images are extracted and rendered per slide. Animations and transitions are not included in the output.
Edit PDF
Add text, draw, highlight, and annotate PDF pages directly
Upload a PDF, then use the toolbar to add text, freehand drawings, rectangles, or highlights on any page. Navigate between pages, undo changes, and export the annotated PDF. All edits are burned into the output file.
Troubleshooting & quality
- If a PDF preview iframe is blank, download the file. Some browsers restrict embedded PDF blobs.
- Huge PDFs may hit page limits in the page editor or split tool; work in smaller batches.
- Unlocking or copying password-protected PDFs requires the correct password.
