"We", "us", and "our" refer to the person or organization operating this deployment of File Utils at the domain you are visiting. If you self-host, you are the controller for your users and should adapt this page.
Files and conversion activity
Core conversion workflows (image format changes, PDF merge, split, compress, and similar) run in your browser. In normal operation, we do not receive the contents of your files for processing on our servers. Output files are generated locally and offered as downloads.
Optional features such as API routes, if enabled on a given deployment, may process data differently. Check the deployment documentation or your administrator.
Technical and usage data
Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may log requests (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps, URLs). Logs are used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Retention depends on your host or CDN settings.
A lightweight rate limit or similar control may record metadata (not your file bytes) to reduce automated abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies

Third-party services
