How to split a PDF into separate files per page

Break one PDF into many downloads (one file per page) with File Utils Split PDF: ideal for distributing chapters, invoices, or signed forms individually.

Split PDF

Split PDF takes a single input PDF and produces multiple output PDFs, typically one per page (exact behavior follows the live tool). This mirrors how teams detach invoices, assignments, or exhibits after batch scanning.

Steps

  1. Open Split PDF.
  2. Upload your document.
  3. Confirm split rules if the interface offers ranges or selective pages; otherwise expect per-page outputs.
  4. Run the operation and monitor progress for long files.
  5. Download each part or a ZIP bundle if provided. Rename files on disk so recipients get clear names (invoice-012.pdf, etc.).

When splitting beats merging

  • You must email only one chapter from a handbook.
  • Each recipient needs a different page from the same scan batch.
  • You will archive records page-by-page in a DMS.

Caveats

  • Bookmarks and forms may not carry into every split chunk the way a full-file export would. Test interactive PDFs before deleting the original.
  • Encrypted PDFs may require unlocking first.
